FBRM™(聚焦光束反射測量)是一種用於過程中顆粒測量的技術。精確且靈敏的弦長分佈(CLD)對尺寸、形狀或數量的變化反應極為敏銳。

探頭以一定角度直接插入過程流中,使顆粒能自由流經探頭視窗,進行測量。透過一套光學系統,雷射光束沿探頭管道發射,並精準聚焦於藍寶石視窗。光學元件以恆定速率(通常為2公尺/秒)旋轉,使光束點快速掃過通過視窗的顆粒。

當集中光束穿過顆粒系統時,單一顆粒或顆粒結構會將雷射光反向散射至偵測器。這些獨立的反向散射光脈衝會被識別、計數,並透過將每個脈衝持續時間乘以掃描速度來確定每個顆粒的距離。

弦長是顆粒尺寸關係的重要指標,用以測量此距離。通常每秒會計數並測量數千顆粒,實現準確且高度靈敏的即時弦長分佈報告。

弦長分佈圖描繪了從程序開始到結束顆粒尺寸與數量的演變。也可繪製各弦長分佈中統計數據的演變,例如細粒級和粗粒級的計數變化。
