What is an electronic pipette?

Electronic pipettes are a digital version of the handheld instruments commonly used in academic, biotech, pharmaceutical and other labs to transfer precise amounts of liquid from one container to another.  Rainin electronic pipettes feature a large color screen, joystick control and graphic interface to make moving between functions and operating the pipette effortless.

Not only is every function of the E4 XLS+ electronic pipette highly customizable, multiple protocols can also be stored onboard for later use. Simultaneously review and select your protocols with a simple movement of the joystick. Digital pipettes put a stop to re-entering preferred protocols over and over again!

Does a digital pipette save my data?

Yes. Settings, protocols and service alarms can be password protected for GLP/GMP compliance. What’s more, GLP data, such as service records, cycles and status data is completely tamper-proof.

Onboard service data is extremely secure and quick to access. Avoid calibration compliance errors by password-protecting access to service interval alarms. Minimize pipetting SOP deviations by locking protocol settings.

Do I need a manual to start using an E4 electronic pipette?

No, you do not. The E4’s large color screen, carousel navigation and joystick control make operation easy and highly intuitive. From straightforward pipetting to complex applications, a digital pipette can do it all. Its long-life battery gives a day’s worth of pipetting with minimal charging and will last for thousands of recharges.

E4 XLS+ pipettes are accurate and precise

All piston movements are controlled by the onboard microprocessor, which moves the piston the set distance at the set speed, regardless of user. The advanced stepper motor has 4,000 discrete steps, providing highly precise liquid measurements. At the end of each pipetting cycle the E4 XLS+ single channel electronic pipette re-calibrates itself by resetting the zero point.

Highly configurable

The E4s’ Admin Mode enables you to configure the digital pipette any way you want. For convenience or security, remove unwanted modes or lock-in settings. Create personalized setting profiles to “re-set” your pipette to a preferred configuration.

GLP/GMP Secure
