ContamPlus™ is engineered to address the common challenge of false rejects with a responsive and adaptive detection system. When a potential contaminant or defect is detected, only the specific inspection algorithms that are triggered will activate, decreasing false alarms and minimizing false rejects for improved detection accuracy.
During the product learning process, a baseline sensitivity level is set for each inspection tool. This baseline helps to distinguish between acceptable product variations and actual foreign material contaminants. What makes ContamPlus™ especially effective is its ability to update and refine these sensitivity settings dynamically, either in real time or after a false reject event.
If a false rejection occurs, the system records the event and allows equipment operators to adjust the sensitivity of the algorithm that was triggered, improving the accuracy of future inspections. The continuous feedback loop lowers false reject frequency over time, so only genuinely defective products are removed from the production line.
With a reduced number of false rejects, manufacturers can cut unnecessary product waste, leading to significant cost savings in raw materials, labor, and rework expenses (where applicable). Lowering the number of false rejects also contributes to smoother production runs, less downtime, and higher overall equipment effectiveness.
