METTLER TOLEDO Innovator Award is designed to encourage and support researchers engaged in cutting-edge innovations that will enable a more sustainable future for the people and the planet.
We are inviting applications from scientists from a broad spectrum of research fields* pivotal in sustainable development aligned with one or more UN Sustainable development goals e.g.,
- Advanced Materials
- Environmental/ Green Chemistry
- Personalized Medicine & novel therapies
- Food Innovation
- Renewable Energy Sources & Storage
- mRNA therapies
*Research fields are not restricted to the above listed examples but should generally demonstrate alignment with the UN Sustainable development goals.
Applicant Eligibility
Applicant must be affiliated with a degree-granting academic or a non-profit research institution .
- Applicant can be a student (undergrad, grad, post-grad, doc) or a researcher.
- Demonstrates cutting-edge innovation in solving a research problem and presents a solution offering a more sustainable solution.

Award Details
- Awardee will receive $20K (USD) worth of laboratory equipment from METTLER TOLEDO's portfolio.
- We will award the two most promising application.
- Feature the success and awardee’s research on mt.com and through promotions.
Submission Requirements
- A completed application form including a 200-300-word abstract describing your research and highlighting innovations that will shape our future sustainably.
- The language of the application is English.
