From Procedure to Recipe: Smarter Experiment Setup with iAchieve & iControl 6.2

Melba Simon and Aaron Keogh of APC showcase their digitalization workflow, focusing on the seamless transfer of experiment procedures from the iAchieve platform to iControl using an XML Converter web app. APC's iAchieve platform is structured in three layers: structured scientific data, a contextualized CMC knowledge network (ontology), and integration of large language models for agentic intelligence, supporting dynamic, transparent, and collaborative research and development activities. A custom XML Converter web app is reviewed, which allows scientists to upload experiment PDFs from iAchieve and automatically generate XML files for iControl, eliminating manual transcription, reducing errors, and enabling rapid, traceable, and reproducible experiment setup.
