New Benchtop Systems for Automated Weighing and Pre-Screening Sample Preparation

Automated Weighing:   FlexiWeigh BA
The FlexiWeigh BA configuration is designed to enhance productivity for routine and tedious laboratory tasks such as repetitive weighing (tare/gross weighing) of containers. Easy-to-use walk-up queuing software maximizes the efficiency of the system for multiple users. Integration of METTLER TOLEDO balances and consideration of best practices and conditions for weighing, from the leaders in precision and analytical balance technology, gives assurance of the highest quality of weighing for reliable results. The FlexiWeigh BA is capable of weighing up to 240 samples per hour with 0.1 mg or 0.01 mg readability. The fully enclosed cabinet reduces drafts and destabilization of the balance. The platform can accommodate a wide range of container types, with 1D or 2D barcode tracking.

Solid Dispensing:   FlexiWeigh SD
The FlexiWeigh SD is an extension of the existing FlexiWeigh product family on a benchtop platform. The FlexiWeigh SD is designed to meet the solid dispensing and reaction set-up needs in process R&D applications, and has the capability to dispense up to 96 different solids (1mg - 5g) and, equipped with the WISC module, dispense multiple solvents (0.1ml - 10ml).

Flexicap 3
The METTLER TOLEDO unique patented solid dosing head allows accurate and precise dispensing of a wide range of powders, with no prior information about the powder and no teaching of the system or method development required. The individual dispensing heads eliminate potential cross-contamination between samples. The solid dispensing range has now been extended with the Flexicap 3, the new generation of dispensing head, which is suited to dispensing from 1mg up to 5g of material (depending on sample type).

METTLER TOLEDO FlexiWeigh workstations are benchtop or floor-standing, fully-enclosed cabinets, equipped with an XYZ robot with rotating arm. The two new platform configurations are:

• FlexiWeigh BA:  Automated Weighing workstation. 4- or 5-place integrated balance. Optional capabilities: sorting, uncapping/recapping and labeling are available.
• FlexiWeigh SD: Solid Dispensing workstation.  Optional capabilities: solvent dispensing (multiple lines), uncapping/recapping and labeling available.
