A strain gauge load cell is a sensor that measures force or load by converting mechanical deformation into an electrical signal. It consists of strain gauges attached to a deformable metal body, which change their electrical resistance when subjected to force. This resistance change is then converted into a voltage output that is proportional to the applied force. METTLER TOLEDO offers strain gauge load cells to convert any structure into a scale.
